The National leadership of the National Commission for the Coordination and Control of Proliferation of Small Arms and Light Weapons, NATCOM, has issued a warning to unsuspecting Nigerians about one Mr. Baba Muhammed, parading himself as the Director General of the agency.

In a statement of disclaimer signed by the Acting Director General of NATCOM,
Mr. Adejare Adegbenro, “the development was anchored on the vote of no confidence passed on Baba Mohammed by the Council of state Directors/Commandants of NATCOM on 3rd June 2023 where the incumbent Acting Director General of NATCOM was elected as the Director General/Executive Chairman.”

According to the statement, NATCOM is currently undergoing serious reformation and cleansing owing to a two-and-a-half-year mal-administration of Mr. Baba Mohammed.

He further warned the general public against dealing with Baba Mohammed as anybody who does so, is at his or her own risk, stressing that “Mohammed was accused of fraud and incompetent to lead the intervention agency.”

Consequently, the leadership of NATCOM also warned unsuspecting job seekers to shun Baba Mohammed and his fake letters of appointment as anybody found wanting shall face the wrath of the law.

The management urged the public to check the leadership newspapers of June 2023 for more information.
