National Assembly Police Affairs Committee Visits Kano, Pledges Support for Police

The National Assembly Committee on Police Affairs has assured of its commitment to supporting the Nigeria Police Force in maintaining law and order.
The Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Makki Yalleman gave the assurance at the Kano State Police Headquarters, Bompai during an assessment visit.
Yalleman informed the State Commissioner of Police, Salman Dogo that, the committee’s objective was to assess the operational readiness of the Command, identify areas of need, and explore ways to partner with the Police to maintain law and order in Kano State.
The Chairman commended the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, for his proactive approach to addressing the security challenges nationwide.
He also appreciated the Kano State Government for donating vehicles to the Command.
The Kano State Commissioner of Police CP Salman Dogo welcomed the committee and acknowledged the National Assembly’s commitment to supporting the Nigeria Police Force.
He assured the committee that the Command would remain committed to ensuring peace and security in the state.
The visit by the Committee demonstrates the collaborative efforts between the Nigeria Police Force and the National Assembly in strengthening security and promoting community policing in Kano State.
