The National Coalition Alliance (NCA), a non-partisan organisation, has held a strategic meeting to strengthen its structure and promote good governance in Ebonyi State and across Nigeria.
The initiative aims to ensure that Nigerian leaders remain committed to good governance, effective service delivery, and accountability in leadership.
The meeting brought together representatives from 10 political parties and 15 political interest groups, who all resolved to make the necessary sacrifices to achieve good governance in the country
The National Coalition Alliance is also training its members and getting them prepared for leadership positions in the country.
The National Coordinator of National Coalition Alliance NCA, Mr Sunday Opoke disclosed this in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State Capital .
Opoke said; “We are National Coalition Alliance not political party as insinuated by some reports. We are not contesting any position with anybody in any political party but we can support political party that has same agenda with us
“As a matter of fact, National Coalition Alliance has come to stay and it will no longer be business as usual, it’s going to build a society where citizens will enjoy equal rights and the issue of poor and rich dichotomy will be abolished. “
According to him, “The National Coalition Alliance will reposition things and rescue the nation from all source of anomalies going on in the country. The Children of Mr President for example, will be attending public schools where other children of the general public attend.”
“The Minister for health as well as the State Commissioner for Health can easily get healthcare from their nearest public health centers. Moreso, a criminal must go in for his or her crimes irrespective of his or her position in the society and rule of law will be applied in all ramifications.
“Under NCA, our Youths will be trained in different technical education, vocational education and above on general knowledge that would help them to handle any position that might come to them. We are going to produce leaders who are going to take care of the masses and build future not selfish ones as we are seeing everywhere today,”Opoke added.
On his part, the New NCA State Chairman Ebonyi State Chapter, Mr Kenneth Oziomaeze said the type of leaders that will emerge from the Coalition Alliance to take over the leadership mantle shall be people of integrity, honesty and humility.
“We cannot have good governance without first of all producing good Leaders. Let’s come together and fight for our right, it’s better to die fighting for your right than pretending to live under chains of slavery forever, ” Oziomaeze stated.
Mr Ibeabuchi Devine, Isha Monday and Azubuike Akpuke said they are going to work hard in the Coalition Alliance to fight for freedom by working with their heart to actualise the goal.
In a closing remarks, the Chairman Islamic Council of Nigeria Southeast Zone, Mr Harun Ajah said the Coalition would help to bring back true democracy in Nigeria.
