National Hajj Commission Announces 2025 Hajj Fare

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has formally announced the Hajj fare for the year 2025 to inform prospective pilgrims throughout the country.

This announcement was made under the leadership of the Commission’s newly appointed National Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman.

This was contained in a press statement made available to the press by the Commission’s Assistant Director of Information and Publication, Fatima Sanda Usara, in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

“The National Chairman of NAHCON is pleased to announce the Hajj fare for the 2025 season sequel to approval from the Office of the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Kashim Shettima.

“The NAHCON Chairman and his team, in collaboration with the representative from the Presidency, Ameen Amshi,  Special Assistant to the President, Special Duties, in their effort to maintain the Hajj fare within the same amounts as previously charged,  depending on the geo-political zones in the country.

“This modest effort of maintaining the fare was reached after extensive consultations to ensure inclusivity in this important decision-making process with the help of Representatives from Nasarawa State, Kebbi, and Adamawa Executive Secretaries of the State Pilgrims Welfare Board who ensured that the fares did not skyrocket.

“The 2025 Hajj fare for Borno and Adamawa  Northeast zone, it is expected for an intending pilgrim to pay N8,327,125.59 (eight million, three hundred and twenty-seven thousand, one hundred and twenty-five Naira fifty-nine kobo.

“Similarly, from the Southern part of Nigeria intending pilgrims are expected to pay N8, 784, 085.59 eight million, seven hundred and eighty-four thousand, eighty-five Naira Naira fifty-nine kobo.

“While Intending pilgrims from the Northwest will pay N8, 457,685.59 (eight million, four hundred and fifty-seven thousand, six hundred and eighty-five Naira fifty-nine kobo.”

Professor Saleh commended the whole team effort, describing the Hajj fare for 2025 as a product of extensive collaboration with all stakeholders. 

He further appreciated the support of the Presidency and Forum of States Executive Secretaries and urged prospective pilgrims to take note of the timelines and Saudi guidelines while emphasizing the importance of early payment and timely registration to avoid last-minute inconveniences.  

“For further inquiries and a breakdown of the fare, the Commission advises the general public to please visit the National Hajj Commission website at nahcon.gov.ng or through the States’ Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards.”
