Nasarawa State Police Command has carried out a community service and sanitation exercise in Lafia, Karu, and other major towns across the state to mark the National Police Day.
In a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel, it said the initiative aims to promote environmental cleanliness and strengthen the relationship between the police and the public.
The sanitation exercise took place at key public locations, including motor parks, markets, and other designated areas, ensuring a cleaner and healthier environment for residents.
Addressing participants, the Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, commended the police personnel for their dedication to the exercise.
He also encouraged members of the public to embrace regular sanitation practices as a way of maintaining a clean and healthy community.
“The Nasarawa State Police Command remains committed to fostering community engagement and enhancing public safety through such initiatives,” the statement added.
