Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari is presiding over the National Security Council meeting, holding at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Those attending the meeting include the National Security Adviser, retired Major General Babagana Monguno, Minister of Defence, retired Major General Bashir Magashi and that of Police Affairs, Maigari Dingyadi.
Others are the Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, the Service Chiefs and Inspector General of Police.
The meeting is expected to reassess the current security situation around the country as well as look into ways of overcoming challenges confronting some parts of the country.
