NBA: Bam Adebayo Shines As Heat Beats Wizards
Bam Adebayo recorded 20 points and nine rebounds, while Jimmy Butler scored 32 points as the Miami Heat extended its winning streak to four games after beating the visiting Washington Wizards 112 – 97.
Butler added five assists and four steals, while Gabe Vincent recorded a season-high 18 points in 25 minutes off the Miami bench. P.J. Tucker scored 15 points.
Bradley Beal scored 30 points to lead Washington, which has lost two straight games following a five-game winning streak. Kyle Kuzma recorded 19 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists.
Golden State Warriors 104 – 89 Cleveland Cavaliers
Stephen Curry saved 20 of his game-high 40 points for the final 12 minutes as the Golden State Warriors rallied from a 13-point deficit to defeat hosts Cleveland Cavaliers 104-89.
Curry’s 40 points featured 9-for-16 shooting from the 3-point range. The Warriors made 15 threes in the game, six in the fourth period. Draymond Green contributed a game-high 14 assists as Golden State won for the ninth time in 10 games.
Darius Garland paced Cleveland with 25 points. Dean Wade and Kevin Love chipped in with 17 points each for the Cavaliers, who lost their third in a row as they continued to play without Evan Mobley and Collin Sexton.
