NCAA certifies Gombe Airport fit for 2022 Hajj Airlift

The officials of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, have certified the Gombe State International Airport worthy, saying it met minimum requirements for the conduct of this year’s Hajj operations.

They had inspected facilities at the Gombe International Airport, preparatory to the airlift of Muslim Pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.

The four- member team, led by the Regional Manager Kaduna office of the NCAA, Air Traffic Controller, Mr. Ango Shehu, expressed satisfaction with the standard of facilities at the Airport.

The team also commended the Gombe State Government under the leadership of Governor Muhammadu Yahaya for improving the airport.

The Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Njodi, who received the team on behalf of Governor Yahaya, appreciated the NCAA for carrying out the follow up inspection visit within the shortest possible.

Professor Njodi assured them that the Government would continue to maintain the Airport for the overall safety of passengers.
