NCDC confirms 29 new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 29 new cases of COVID-19 in six States of Nigeria.

The cases were dictated between January 7th to 13th, 2023. The States with the confirmed COVID-19 cases are: Lagos (15); FCT (5); Kano (4); Nasarawa (3); Kaduna (1) and Plateau (1).

 

The NCDC in a statement on Sunday said: “From 7th to 13th January 2023, 29 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria … A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities”. The NCDC said.

 

With the latest figure, to date, 266,492 cases have been confirmed, 259,858 cases have been discharged and 3,155 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
