The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in Ebonyi State has officially launched the registration process for recruiting unskilled and unemployed individuals across all 13 Local Government Areas of the state.
This initiative is part of a broader program developed by the NDE’s Director General, Mr. Silas Ali Agara, aimed at engaging 93,731 unskilled and unemployed persons nationwide. This effort aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, emphasising job creation and economic empowerment.
Ebonyi State Coordinator of the NDE, Pastor Don Anaba, disclosed this to Journalists in Abakaliki, the State Capital, saying that the registration process for the recruitment exercise started on Monday, October 21, 2024, while the training programme for the successful applicants will take three months.
Anaba also disclosed that the NDE’s renewed hope employment initiative will provide vocational, agricultural and entrepreneurial skills training with activities in the public works sector using over 30 different skill sets under the initiative.

“This job creation initiative of the NDE is promoting the Renewed Hope Agenda and will provide start-up capital, equipment and working tools at the end of the training, while other participants will be linked to credit-granting institutions to access loans to commence medium- or large-scale businesses,” he said.
The Coordinator urged interested persons to log on to www.nde.gov.ng to create an account and register online with a valid email address, Passport Photograph and National Identity Number (NIN), or alternatively, contact the Ebonyi State NDE office, located at the Federal Secretariat, Opposite Unity Square Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, Southeast Nigeria.
He also said that successful candidates will be contacted by the NDE office in the state for immediate deployment to training outlets.
