Ndidi, Lookman help Leicester end league winless run

Ndidi and Ademola Lookman started the game at the King Power stadium against Watford for Leicester City, while Kelechi Iheanacho was among the substitutes.

Watford’s manager Claudio Ranieri also handed Emmanuel Dennis and William Troost-Ekong a place in the starting eleven.

However, Watford fell behind in the 16th minute after James Maddison capitalized on an error from William Troost-Ekong.

Watford responded and restored parity on the half-hour mark when Josh King netted from the penalty spot after Emmanuel Dennis was fouled in the box by Wilfred Ndidi.

Leicester City regained their lead thanks to a quick brace from Jamie Vardy in the 34th and 42nd minutes respectively.

Watford managed to get back into the game as Emmanuel Dennis reduced the deficit the 61st minute when Dennis pounced on an error from Timothy Castagne.

Leicester City also restored their two-goal lead in the 68th minute, when Ademola Lookman beat Watford defenders to score the fourth goal.

He later expressed delight with his efforts.

The victory sees Rodgers’ side end a run of three games without a win in the top flight to move up to ninth in the table, while defeat keeps Watford in 16th, four points clear of the drop zone.
