Network of Peace Journalists Hails ICPC and EFCC’s Anti-Corruption Drive

The Network of Peace Journalists Kaduna (NPJK) has expressed commendation for the dedicated efforts of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in combatting corrupt practices within the country.
The team leader of the group, Ibrahima Yakubu, lauded the agencies’ various initiatives aimed at eradicating corruption since the election of the newly elected President, Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
In a statement, Yakubu advocated for increased support from Nigerian civil society organisations towards the agencies in their fight against corruption, which affects various sectors of human endeavors in the country.
The Network of Peace Journalists, spanning across the 36 states of Nigeria, pledges unwavering support for EFCC/ICPC in tackling corruption within the country.
Yakubu expressed appreciation for the recent commitment exhibited by the agencies in combating corruption.
“We applaud your recent dedication to fighting corruption in the country and pray for your continued success and more victories in the battle against corruption,” Yakubu stated.
He emphasised the need for Nigerians to acknowledge and appreciate the tireless efforts of the ICPC and EFCC in the fight against corruption. While calling on citizens to support the authorities in tackling cyber threats and associated crimes in society.
Ibrahima then concluded by reiterating the Network of Peace Journalists’ strong support for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in combating economic and financial crimes, he however advocates for stricter punishments for individuals found guilty of stealing the country’s treasures.
