New Commissioner of Police solicits full cooperation in Niger State

The Police has solicited the cooperation of people in Niger State, North central Nigeria, on the need for useful information to the the security agencies in sustaining and checkmating crimes in the State.

This was stated by the New Commissioner of Police Niger State Command, CP Monday Bala Kuryas.

, in a statement to Voice of Nigeria by the public relations officer of the Niger State Command of the  Nigerian Police, DSP Wssiu Abiodun .

The Public Relations Officer of the State Command, DSP Wssiu Abiodun told Voice of Nigeria that the new Police Commissioner, who assumed duty on Monday, hails from Kurya Daddu in Jaba LGA of Kaduna State.

A 1986 graduate of Political Science from Usman Dan Fodio University in North west Nigeria, was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet ASP in 1990 and since then, he has served in various capacities within the Force which includes ;
-Area Commander Lafia, Nasarawa State (2012 – 2015)
-Area Commander Nsukka, Enugu State (2015 – 2017)
-DC Operations, Kogi State Police Command (2017 – 2019)
-DC Operations, Zone 11 Osogbo Osun State (2019 – 2020)
-DC Operations, Ondo State Police Command (2020 – 2021)
-Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Police Command (2021)
-Commissioner of Police, Anti-Fraud section FCID Annex Lagos (2021) before assuming his new position as the 35th Commissioner of Police, Niger State Police Command.

CP Kuryas has equally attended several professional courses, seminars and workshops including Combat Operations Course, Intermediate Command Course, Tactical Leadership and Command Course (TLCC), and Senior Command Course respectively.

He attended the National Institute for Security Studies, Abuja for an Executive Intelligence Management Course which earned him “fellow of security institute” (fsi). He has also utilised his wealth of experience largely in high profile cases such as Armed Robbery, Banditry and Kidnapping cases.

He is a recipient of many Certificates of Commendation and Awards for bravery, hard work and selfless service.
