The New Sector Commander of Kwara Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC Commander, Stephen Dawulung, has formally assumed duty.
A statement issued by the Sector’s Public Relations Officer, SRC Buhari Basambo, said the new FRSC Sector Commander arrived at Kwara Sector on Friday 17th November and was received by Senior Officers of the Command.
In his address to Officers and Men at a parade organised in his honour, Dawulung was tasked with the need for higher commitment and focus on the reduction of road traffic crash fatalities and injuries within Kwara State and its environs while shunning all forms of corruption.
Dawulung also held a strategy meeting with all Heads of Departments and Units, where he charged them to discharge their primary duties with firmness and fairness.
The Sector Commander, further, advised motorists to adhere strictly to road traffic rules and regulations to avoid chances of being involved in road traffic crashes.
According to him, useful ideas and suggestions from the public that can bring about a safer motoring environment in Kwara would be welcomed.
According to the statement, Dawulung wished his predecessor well and expressed readiness to leverage the already existing synergy between Kwara Sector Command and relevant stakeholders towards delivering on the Corps mandate.
The new Sector Commander; Corps Commander Stephen E Dawulung, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics and a Masters in Law and Diplomacy.
Before his appointment, Dawulung, the 20th Sector Commander in the State, was in charge of the Transport Section of the Technical Services Department, Federal Road Safety Corps Headquarters, Abuja.
