New Nasarawa Eze Igbo promises good leadership

A new Eze, Mr. Okechukwu Leonard- Ezike, has emerged in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

Mr. Ezike assured of his readiness to lead his people with the fear of God in the interest of peace and for the overall development of the state.

Leonard-Ezike gave the assurance while addressing newsmen in the Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the state.

He said that ruling his subjects and others with the fear of God would not only promote peace but would also boost the socio-economic activities of Igbo people of the area thereby improving their standard of living.

The new Igbo leader assured of his readiness to operate an open-door policy and to carry every one of his subjects along while discharging their duties.

“My blueprint is to unite and ensure that Igbo people in Nasarawa Eggon local government area speaks with one voice.

“As the importance of unity and peace to societal development could not be overemphasized. Peace is priceless and non-negotiable. We must embrace peace and tolerate one another.

“It is given this that I will lead my people with the fear of God to promote unity and peaceful co-existence among Igbos and other ethnic groups in this area, the state, and the country at large, he said.

Leonard-Ezike also urged his subjects and other people to continue to take their business activities with all seriousness to excel in life and to continue to contribute their quota positively to the development of the area and the state at large.

He further called on them to be law-abiding, respect constituted authorities, live in peace, and tolerate one another for development to thrive.

I also want to call on the Igbos and other Nigerians  to continue to respect constituted authorities and do the right things at all times  in our interest and for the overall development of this area, the state and the country at large,” 

The new Igbo leader commended Aren Eggon, His Royal Highness, Dr. Bala Abaine Angbazo, and the Local government Chairman of the area, Mr. Danlami Idris, and other stakeholders in the area for accommodating Igbos in the area and called for its sustenance.

He assured of his people’s readiness to support government policies and programs at all times to succeed.

The Secretary of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Council, Mr. Paul Abuga, confirmed the appointment of Leonard-Ezike as the new Eze Igbo in the area.

He, therefore, urged the new Eze Igbo to carry his people along while performing his duties in the interest of peace and development.
