New TV Practitioners Association inaugurated in Lagos state

A new association— the Television Content Owners’ Association, for TV producers, advertisers, content creators and other stakeholders in the Nigerian Television  Industry, has been inaugurated in Lagos.

According to a statement, the main objectives of the association are to protect the general interests and welfare of satellite, terrestrial, and digital TV practitioners; and to promote the professional practices of members by using necessary tools, in an atmosphere of friendship, honesty, unity and love.

The association, which comprises of 65 TV producers from across Nigeria, has appointed four Board of Trustee members, who are notable players in the TV industry.

They are; Wale Adenuga (Chairman, Wale Adenuga Productions), Debbie Odutayo (Executive Director, Royal Roots Communication Network), Paul Igwe (CEO, Whitestone Cinema Limited), and Olatubosun Olaegbe (CEO, Genesis Studios).

Describing the new association as a breath of fresh air, the Chairman of its BOT, Wale Adenuga, said, “The establishment of TCOA is long overdue. It is a refreshingly different association where TV producers are transforming for a new Era. Our goal is to rise by lifting others and through unity, discipline, tenacity of purpose, and faith in God, we would all achieve resounding success.”
