Newcastle dealt blow as Trippier suffers foot injury
Newcastle has confirmed that Kieran Trippier suffered a broken foot in their win against Aston Villa at St James’ Park.
A club statement read: “The 31-year-old scored the game’s only goal at St. James’ Park to help the Magpies to a third successive Premier League win, but had to be substituted early in the second half after sustaining a foot injury.
The England international showed off his deadly set-piece ability again against Villa but was unable to finish the match

Newcastle moved four points clear of the relegation zone with a crucial 1-0 home victory over Villa on Sunday.
Trippier was the match-winner as he fired home an unstoppable 35th-minute free-kick, but he was forced off early in the second half due to a foot injury.
