NFVCB seeks partnership with News Agency of Nigerians

The National Film Video Censors Board (NFVCB) has called for tighter cooperation and partnership with the News Agency of Nigeria, to sensitise the people on its activities.

The Northeast Zonal Coordinator of the Board, Mrs Sangari Rabi-Muhammmed, said this on Thursday during a visit to the Agency Zonal Office, Bauchi.
According to her, the visit was to further strengthen collaboration with the agency towards sensitising the people on its mandate.

“NAN and the Board work for the Federal Government, we find it necessary to come and seeks for support in terms of awareness creation and sensitisation of our mandate.
“We solicited for the agency’s support to amplify our activities and work as partners in the state,” she said.

Also Speaking, NFVCB’s Head of Finance and Media Literacy, Mr Luka Ishaya said that such collaboration would go a long way to help the Board in carrying out its responsibilities.

According to Ishaya, the Board provides an enabling environment for the growth of the film industry through its activities in the country.

The Borad, he said, was saddled with the responsibility of managing the classification system to time, cost and quality standards as well as provide policy advice and services to the government.

“The Board builds confidence through utilisation of its classification system among existing and potential clients.

“To further enhance community understanding, confidence and usage in relation to classification system and outcomes, we need your support in this regard,” he said.

Responding, Mr Rabiu Sani-Ali, the Manager of News Agency of Nigeria Bauchi Zonal Office, expressed readiness of the Agency to support the Board to enable it to discharge its mandate.
He pledged continued support to the Board towards educating the people on its activities in the state.
“Our doors are always open for the Board to explore in the state.”
