A Non Governmental Organisation, NGO known as Ebele and AnyiChucks Foundation has embarked on free medical services to the people of Ebonyi State and also distributed food items.
About 13000 bags of rice, 6000 pieces of wrappers and cash donations amongst others, were the items distributed.
The founder of the Organisation, Dr Chukwuma Odii stated this during the flag off ceremony at Isu in Onitcha Local Government Area of the State.
Dr Odii said he is motivated to touch lives positively because of the cries of the masses who sincerely need help.
“These items we are distributing today is going to reach every house in Ebonyi State, it is the duty of my foundation to ensure that Ebonyi people are comfortable more especially the downtrodden and others who may need help in one way or the other,” he explained.
He urged all who have not benefitted from the Healthcare to come and do so.
He said, “These Healthcare is not going to end here but to further treat those whose Health conditions could not be handled here. If it demands surgical operation, we will make sure that we sponsor any bills that might arise from such”.
The Leader of the Medical team, Dr Emmanuel Nwani thanked Dr Chukwuma Odii for preventing people from dying untimely through this medical exercise.
“So far, we have been able to detect some people whose blood pressures were so high that it would have lead to stroke in few weeks to come. We have screened people on blood sugar levels, hepatitis, HIV&AIDS for those who needed it an so on,” Nwani said.
Dr Nwani called on the public to come out en mass to benefit from the Dr Odii’s Healthcare delivery.
One of the beneficiaries, Mrs Chinasa Nwani thanked the foundation for their good works so far, not only on this but all the good things the NGO has done in Ebonyi State, more especially this regular style of delivering food and medical outreach from house to house.
She called on other wealthy Ebonyi people to emulate the live touching styles Dr Odii.
