Transactions on the equities market of the Nigerian Stock Exchange closed positively on the first trading day of the week on Monday with the all- share index recording a gain of 4.36% to close at 190,262.44 points.
Similarly, the market capitalisation also rose by N5.1trillion to close at N122.13 trillion from N117.03 trillion recorded on the last day of trading last week.
The market sentiment also closed in green with 58 gainers as against 28 losers at the end of trading.
Monday’s trading saw a total of 1,075 million shares worth N64.01billion traded in 64,664 deals.
The gainers list for the day was led by Aradel Holdings with 10% share price gain and a closing price of N1.096.70k followed by Beta Glass Company also with 10% price gain and a closing price of N454.20k per share while Oando closely followed with 10% price gain and a closing price of N44.00k.
On the other hand, RT Briscoe dropped by 9.99% to close at N15.68k. It was followed by Deap Capital Management & Trust with 9.91% loss and a closing price of N7.64k while Caverton Offshore Support Group declined by 9.62% to close at N7.05k.
Access Holdings recorded the highest volumes of traded shares for the day at 86.7 million followed by Oando with 73.5 million shares.
