The All-Share index of equities on the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX) continued on the downward trend on Thursday as it dropped further by 0.79% to close at 38,484.82 point .
Similarly, the market capitalization closed lower at N20.051 trillion compared to N20.210 trillion on Wednesday.
At the end of trading on Thursday, a total of 259,968.145 million shares worth N1.98 billion were traded in 4,975 deals.
The market sentiment also closed negative with 18 gainers and 22 losers.
Smart products Nigeria led the gainers table having gained N0.04k to close at N0.20k.It was followed by Tripple Gee and Co which gained N0.09k to close at N0.99k then Regency Alliance Insurance Company gained N0.04k to close at N0.45k.
Conversely, Oando came out last with a closing price of N4.75k, having lost N0.51k. It was followed by UAC of Nigeria, which lost N1.00k to close at N10.20k and Linkage Assurance, which lost N0.05k to close at N0.60k.
Oando was the toast of investors for the day as it had the highest volume of traded shares at 56.3 million, followed by Guaranty Trust Holding with 15.3 million shares.
