NGX: All Share Index depriciates by 0.31%

Equities trading session on the Nigerian Exchange closed in the red on Tuesday as the benchmark All Share Index depreciated by 0.31% or 146.15 points to close at 47.057.24 basis points as against 47.203.39 on Monday.

 

The market capitalization shed N79 billion to close the day at N25,357 trillion compared with N25,436 the previous day.

 

The market sentiment also ended in the negative territory as trading closed with 18 gainers and 21 losers.

 

At the end of Tuesday’s trading, investors traded a total of 238.216 million shares worth N5.08 billion in 4,826 deals.

 

Presco led the gainers table with a gain of N9.50k to close at N104.50k. It was followed by N.E.M Insurance Company with 0.30% gain to close at N3.31k then Sunu Assurances Nigeria with a gain of N0.03k to close at N0.36k.

 

On the other hand, Courteville Business Solutions lost N0.04k to close at N0.51k and it was followed by UPDC with N0.06k loss to close at N1.00 and University Press which lost N0.14k to close at N2.45k.

 

Guaranty Trust Holding had the highest volume of trade of 32.4 million shares followed by Zenith Bank with 24.3 million traded shares.
