Midweek trade of equities on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange Group Limited, NGX, dropped marginally by 0.03 percent.
Investors recorded a N7.8 million loss at the market on Wednesday as capitalisation declined to close at N30.505 trillion lower than the N30.513 trillion of the previous day.
Also the All-Share Index depreciated by 14.33 absolute points, representing a 0.03 percentage drop to close at 56,024.52 points after gaining 0.42 percent to close at 56,038.85 on Tuesday.
The day’s trading session however, saw a higher of gainers to close with 33 gainers relative to 12 losers.
The gainers table was led by ETERNA and HONYFLOUR with 9.87 percent profit on their respective share prices to close at N12.25k and N3.14k. FTN Cocoa Processors followed with a 9.86 percent gain on its share price to close at N0.71k
FlourMills Nigeria on the other hand, led the decliners list with a 4.20 percent loss on its share price to close at N33.10k, followed by NGX Group with a 3.11 percent on its share price to close at N28.00 while Prestige shares dropped by 2.44 percent to close at N0.40k.
The market sentiment when measured by market breadth ended positive in terms of volume and value by recording a 23.30 and 12.2 percent increase to close at 397.62 million shares worth N6.54 billion. However the deals for the day ended negative with 5,613 representing a 8.95 percent decline.
