Business activities at the Nigerian Exchange Group Limited (NGX) ended bullish on Thursday as key Index inched up by 0.07%.
The market capitalization appreciated by N14 billion amid bargain hunting to close at N20.568 trillion higher than the N20.553 trillion of the previous day.
Consequently, the All-Share Index increased by 0.07% to close at 39, 477.18 points compared to Wednesday’s 39,449.82.
At the end of the day, a total volume of 186.32 million units of shares valued at N1.79 billion exchanged in 3,595 deals.
The market sentiment as measured by market breadth was positive as trading closed with 27 gainers and 12 losers.
Leading the gainers’ chart, Eterna gained N0.68k to close at N7.50k. Glaxosmith followed with a price of N0.50k to close at N6.80k, while Presco gained N0.40k to close at N73.00k.
Some of the losers included Vitafoam with a loss of N0.25k to close at N16.50k; Flour Mills Nigeria followed with a closing price of N28.65k after losing N0.20k, while Scoa Plc lost N0.15k to close at N1.44k.
Transactions in the shares of Sovereign Trust Insurance topped the activity chart with 19.671 million shares followed by Wapco Nigeria with 17.431 million shares.
