The Managing Director/CEO of Nigerian Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Limited, Jane Nkechi Egerton-Idehen, championed the role of satellite technology in bridging the digital divide during a high-level panel discussion at the ongoing SATELLITE 2025 & Exhibition in Washington, DC.

Speaking on the theme “Viable Business Strategies to Resolve the Digital Divide with Satellite Connectivity,” she highlighted the potential of satellite solutions in expanding connectivity and driving digital inclusion globally. Egerton-Idehen emphasised the importance of strategic investments, public-private partnerships, and innovative business models in leveraging satellite technology to provide seamless internet access to underserved and remote areas.
