NIGCOMSAT Seeks Partnership With Gombe State To Enhance SME Operations

The Nigerian Communications Satellite, NIGCOMSAT, says it is seeking to work with the Gombe State Government to find ways to offer broadband access and also offer solutions that can enhance the operations of small and medium enterprises.
The Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer of NIGCOMSAT, Mrs. Nkechi Egerton-Idehen, told journalists after a-two day working visit round the state that the agency was in Gombe State to ensure that it partners with the government to also enhance education, and health care services in the State.
Mrs. Egerton-Idehen said the visit to Gombe State was also to create more awareness on its services and attract more clients, as well as ensure that its clients, potential clients, stakeholders and partners became aware of its activities.
“To our present and prospective partners in Gombe State and beyond, I want you to know that we are open for business”, said Mrs. Egerton-Idehen.
She said the Nigerian Communications Satellite, NIGCOMSAT, was Nigeria’s communication Satellite operator, which functioned to enhance communication capabilities and infrastructure for the betterment of the people.
“This is a new era for NIGCOMSAT and we are here to ensure our clients, potential clients, stakeholders and partners are aware of this”, said Mrs. Egerton-Idehen.
However, little or nothing is known about its functions and activities. Against this development, the management of the agency deemed it fit to go round Gombe State to educate the people on its activities, which are aimed at changing the perception of people on NIGCOMSAT through tangible actions and results.
“We are determined to make NIGCOMSAT a beacon of national pride with an energized workforce, satisfied clients and national recognition,” said Mrs. Egerton-Idehen.
According to Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer of NIGCOMSAT, Mrs. Nkechi Jane Egerton-Idehen, Gombe State stands to benefit a lot from the services of NIGCOMSAT for its social and economic development.
She said NIGCOMSAT believed that Technology was the engine of every economy and it was now better positioned than ever before to provide the nation with reliable internet services that will stimulate innovation and other advancements in the technology industry.
The Managing Director of NIGCOMSAT said the agency was determined to meet the mandate set by the Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy to provide universal, ubiquitous and cost effective access to Communications infrastructure throughout Nigeria where the utilization of ICT impacts all spheres from Agriculture, Education, Health, and Enterprises among others.
