The Governor of Niger State, Abubakar Sani Bello is presiding over the governing All Progressives Congress, APC as the Acting National Chairman of the party’s Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee.
The Governor confirmed this while speaking to journalists at the Party’s headquarters in Abuja after he swore-in the newly elected state Chairmen.

He said he has been acting for a while in the absence of the APC Caretaker Committee Chairman, Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State since he travelled.
“The States Chairmen they took their oath of Office today and we discussed progress made so far on Convention and what needs to be done next so that we will achieve the March 26 date for Convention.
“I have been acting for a while since the Chairman travelled,” Governor Bello.
All members of the Caretaker Committee were present at the meeting including its Secretary, Senator John Akpanudoedehe.
As earlier reported by Voice of Nigeria, the media had been rife with stories that Governor Buni was has been replaced by governor Bello as the National Chairman of the APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee.
The Caretaker Committee is to plan for the party’s National Convention slated for the 26th of March.
