Niger State bans June 12 Procession

Niger State Government in North Central Nigeria, has announced the banning of all forms of processions across the State.

 

The Secretary to the State Government , Ahmed Ibrahim Matane, disclosed that the banning of the procession is with immediate effect.

 

According  to the Statement by Lawal Tanko, the Information Officer to the SSG, said the decision to ban all forms of processions is as a result of security situation in the State.

 

He revealed that Government has directed security agencies to ensure the enforcement and deal with any person, group, organisation or individuals that violates this order.

 

Adhere strictly
Ahmed Matane advise members of the general public across the State to adhere strictly to this directive by being law abiding and live peacefully with one another.

 

Report shows that some sponsored  groups are planning a nationwide procession against the government on June,12.
