Niger State commends Military’s effort on banditry

Niger State Governor in North Central Nigeria, Abubakar Sani Bello has commended the effort of Security Chiefs in tackling the ongoing banditry activities in parts of the State.

The Governor stated this after meeting with some heads of security agencies in Minna the State Capital on Tuesday.

“I want to specifically thank the security agencies for a job well done. So far everything has been going on smoothly as there has been no cause for alarm at the moment.

“I don’t want to say much for now because we have some security Operatives on ground at the moment but we still have some areas where we still have to look”.

The Governor who further condoled with the Military on the death of three  Soldiers during an operation in Magama axis of the State, said “Three Soldiers were unfortunately killed in Magama Local Government by bandits but I can assure you that those bandits at the moment are being trailed by our Security agencies and by God’s grace, they will be apprehended”.

Alhaji Sani Bello, further explained that plans were on ground to return the Internally Displaced Persons, (IDPs) of over 25 communities to their respective homes in Shiroro, Galkogo, Shaku, Makera, Chukuba,Galadiman kogo and Erena.

Other areas according to the Governor, include “Munya, Mangoro, Kuchi, Lape, Bada, Zazzaga, Guni, Fuka, Gini and Dandaudu, Mariga, Shadagi, Fara Toka, Shaga, Garguzo, Dusai and Gulbin boka”.
