The Niger State government in North Central Nigeria has commended President Muhammadu Buhari’s government on the recent intervention for the reconstruction of some major roads in the state.
Governor Abubakar Bello gave the commendation while speaking to Journalists in Minna, the State capital on Wednesday.
He said the intervention in collaboration with the NNPC and Federal Internal revenue Commission, FIRS, would facilitate smooth transportation activities across the country.
“Most of the traffic moving cargos to South-West and up North, pass through the state which has left the roads within minna the state capital and other linked roads in bad condition.
“However, fixing these roads will help ease movement within the state, reduce travel time and risk of accidents,” the Governor explained.
Approval was recently given by the Nigerian government on the intervention by the NNPC and FIRS for the reconstruction of selected 21 deplorable major roads across the country.
