The Niger State Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youths and Sports Development, Nuhu Garba, paid a familiarisation tour to the Ahmadu Bahago sports complex, with the inspection coming after the former Permanent Secretary, Hamza Sarki Bello, handed over the ministry’s affairs.
During the tour, Garba inspected the ongoing projects at the sports complex and expressed his satisfaction with the levels of work done so far. He encouraged the Contractor and site Engineers to expedite their efforts in completing the ongoing projects promptly, with the aim of securing approval for the second phase of development.
The Ahmadu Bahago sports complex boasts an array of facilities, including a Squash hall, Swimming pool, basketball and volleyball courts, a Hockey pitch, among others. The visit provided the Permanent Secretary with valuable insights into the progress and potential of the complex.
In response to the Permanent Secretary’s visit, the Contractor responsible for handling the projects, Inuwa, expressed his gratitude to Garba and his team for the tour. He pledged to do his utmost to meet the specified timelines and ensure the successful completion of the ongoing projects.
The familiarisation tour underscores the commitment of the Niger State Ministry of Youths and Sports Development towards enhancing sports infrastructure and opportunities in the region.
As the projects progress, it is hoped that the Ahmadu Bahago sports complex will become a hub for sporting excellence and development in Niger State.
