Niger State Governor Congratulates New NUJ Correspondents Chapel Executives

Niger State Governor, Alhaji Mohammed Umaru Bago, has congratulated Mustapha Yakubu Bina on his reelection as Chairman of the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Niger State Council.
In a congratulatory message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim the Governor described the re-election of Yakubu Bina as deserving.
He said “the commitment and selfless leadership style of Yakubu Bina has earned him a second tenure.”
The Governor expressed confidence that Yakubu Bina would consolidate his achievements in the Chapel.
He also extended his felicitation to other officials of the Chapel and called on them to work for the unity and progress of the Chapel.
While acknowledging the need for the Chapel to defend the sanctity of the Journalism Profession, Governor Bago urged the officials of the Chapel to strengthen the existing relations with his administration through fair reportage, assuring them of his unflinching support.
The Correspondents Chapel of the NUJ, Niger State Council held its election, where Mustapha Yakubu Bina of the People’s Daily Newspaper and other executives emerged unopposed.
Other executives of the Chapel are Nura Mohammed of the Voice of Nigeria (VON), as vice Chairman; Dan Atori of the New Telegraph Newspaper as Secretary; Abubakar Akote of Daily Trust Newspaper as the Assistant Secretary; Pricilla Dennis of Daily Post Newspaper as the Treasurer; Rita Iliya of News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), as the Financial Secretary while Mustapha Nasiru Batsari of the Voice of America (VOA) will serve as the Auditor.
They are to pilot the affairs of the Chapel for the next three years.
