Nigeria Aquatics Federation, Naval set to host swimming championship

The Nigeria Aquatics Federation (NAF) in collaboration with Naval Staff Swimming body is set to host 11th edition of Chief of Naval Staff National Swimming Championship in Port Harcourt from January 31 to February 4.

The president of the Nigeria Aquatics Federation (NAF), Chinoye Aliyu, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday in Lagos.

She said that the championship would enable the federation to pick the best for All African Games and Olympic Games, coming up later in the year.

The Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Adm. E.I. Ogalla, said that the championship would boost the integration in this aspect of sports and facilitate the discovery of fresh swimming talents in Nigeria.

The opening ceremony will hold on Feb. 1 at the Swimming Section of the Alfred Diette Spiff Civic Center, Moscow Road, Port Harcourt.
