Nigeria, China Sign MoU On Media to Enhance Technology Transfer

The Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, on Media Exchange and Cooperation, signed between Nigeria and the government of the People’s Republic of China, aims to enhance technology transfer between Nigerian media and the Chinese Media Group.

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris made this known to Journalists while speaking on the media-based MOU he signed on behalf of Nigeria in The People’s Republic of China.

He acknowledged China’s advanced Media technology, saying Nigeria will leverage on the opportunity to further equip its media operations.

The Minister said; “The agreement will also assist in training our personnel, aiding in the procurement and operationalisation of some of the equipment back in Nigeria.

“You understand that the Chinese government has made significant advancements in media technology and training, and we aim to leverage that. On their part, they are also interested in information sharing with us.”

Idris further stated that the MoU would promote the free exchange of expertise between the Nigerian government and Chinese authorities in areas such as media collaboration, training, and other forms of cooperation for the benefit of both countries.
