Nigeria has recorded 1,964 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of persons who have tested positive in the country to 116,655.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced this via its official Twitter handle.
According to the tweet, the 1,964 new cases were from 24 states. Lagos reported the highest number of cases with 824 new cases while the nation’s Federal Capital Territory was second with 246 and Zamfara State had the lowest with 1 new case.

The NCDC also twitted that as of 21 January, 116,655 cases had been confirmed, 93,646 cases treated and discharged, while 1,485 deaths were recorded.
