Nigeria congratulates India on 79th Independence anniversary

Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, has extended his warmest congratulations to India’s Minister of External Affairs, Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, on India’s 79th Independence Day anniversary.

In a statement by the spokesperson of the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Ebienfa, Ambassador Tuggar acknowledged the extraordinary determination, sacrifice and vision of the Indian people in shaping their nation’s destiny.

Strengthening Bilateral Relations
The Nigerian government recognises the shared values of democracy, respect for sovereignty, and commitment to international peace that unite both countries. Over the decades, Nigeria and India have built a strong and multifaceted partnership, driven by:

Ambassador Tuggar reaffirmed Nigeria’s readiness to strengthen existing ties and explore new areas of cooperation, collaborate on global issues such as sustainability, and continue working together within international organisations to advance common causes.
