Nigeria Discloses Desire To Host Africa’s Apex Bank

Vice President Kashim Shettima has revealed that Nigeria is interested in hosting the African Central Bank.
He made the revelation in New York, during a meeting with the African Union Chairperson, Mr Moussa Faki.
The Vice President emphasised that Africa has come of age to establish its apex bank.
VP Shettima highlighted the need for consolidation of democracy as well as peaceful collaborations in Africa.
Therefore, he urged the African Union (AU) to focus more on stabilising the continent.
For his part, the AU Chairperson, Mr Faki, thanked Nigeria for its role in sustaining democracy in Africa, adding that the AU will continue to ensure that African stability and peace remain a priority for the body.
