The Nigerian Government has received a total of 198 Nigerian nationals evacuated from the crises-ridden Sudan at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
Earlier, the Federal Government had evacuated no fewer than 2,518 Nigerians from Sudan, since the crises broke out in the country.
The National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI) confirmed that this current evacuation consists of 38 children and infants and 160 adults.
The reception exercise, which was coordinated by the Commission also had representation from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), who are responsible for facilitating the evacuation of Nigerians from crises and disaster affected countries, Port Health Services, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, FAAN, DSS and others.

The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) were also on ground to profile the returnees and capture their biometrics.
Representing the Federal Commissioner of the NCFRMI, Hajia Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim fsi, and the Director Migrants Affairs, Ambassador Catherine Udida mn,i explained that there are still 40 Nigerians remaining in the camp, who are being catered for by the Nigerian government.
She also emphasized that government will not rest on its oars to ensure that Nigerian migrants are protected wherever they are, and that they are assisted if they choose to return noting that all returnees will be given access to sustainable reintegration.
The returnees were profiled and provided with welcome assistance packs by the government agencies and the adults among them were given onward transportation allowance by Aliko Dangote Foundation
