Nigeria, Finland Deepen Aviation Cooperation on Training

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has received the Finnish Ambassador to Nigeria, Sanna Selin, in Abuja, for talks focused on training, manpower development, and advancing Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) as part of bilateral cooperation.

Keyamo reaffirmed his ministry’s commitment to global partnerships that will strengthen innovation, expand capacity, and secure a sustainable future for Nigeria’s aviation sector.

He stressed that strategic alliances are vital to achieving long-term growth in the industry.

“The Ministry remains focused on leveraging international collaborations to modernize Nigeria’s aviation sector, boost efficiency, and align with global best practices in sustainability,” he said.

In her remarks, Ambassador Selin highlighted the strides of Finnish companies in advancing aviation technologies, particularly in training, manpower development, and the promotion of SAF.

“Finland is ready to collaborate with Nigeria in fostering innovation and knowledge transfer that would strengthen the aviation industry,” she stated.
