Our Nigeria News Magazine has held its 2022 Annual Awards to recognize the contributions of some personalities based on their contributions to the peace and unity of the country.

The Award Ceremony which took place in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital is aimed at  promoting the ideology that the country belongs to all Nigerians with equal status and rights.

The awardees include the former Emir of Kano State, North-west Nigeria, His Royal Highness, Muhammad Sanusi the ll, who was given the Man of the Year Award, Mai Mala Buni, the Governor of Yobe State North-east Nigeria, who was awarded the Politician of the Year, and General Ibrahim Bala Haruna retired, who got the Lifetime Gallantry Award for his effort in uniting Nigeria.

Others are Professor Ibrahim Agboola Gambari who got the General Yakubu Gowon Excellence Award in Leadership and Cyril Stober, Legend Broadcaster of the Year.

His Royal Highness Adekunle who congratulated the awardees for the recognition of their efforts, urged all Nigerians to support and promote national cohesion of the country.

Nigeria has suffered many crisis since Independence which has become one of the factors that always bring our nation back, I think the time has come where Nigerians have to shun religion, ethnicity sentiment to embrace peace and unity for our country to be great again, “according to the Royal Father.

The Presidential Candidate of Action Alliance, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha (rtd) while receiving his award as “Icon of National Unity and Patriotism” said: “2023 is approaching, it doesn’t matter who possess the right qualities, we should not miss this chance of electing the right leaders as our country is very rich and we have the numerous mineral resources that can sustain us to live a better life.” He added.

Al-Mustapha (rtd) further said that “The time has come to vote credible leaders that will unite our great nation in respective of religion or ethnicity and solving our diverse.”

The Publisher of Our Nigeria News Magazine, Mr Abubakar Muhammad said that the magazine awards well deserved Nigerians based on merits and it has no any financial obligation whatsoever as a pre requisite for nomination or receiving the award.

“Our Nigeria does not get involved in yellow journalism, smear campaign and blackmail; it doesn’t have any regional agenda. its agenda is one Nigeria, a strong Nigeria for all Nigerians where equity and justice shall reign.”

The magazine which was started in 2019 and got registered with the National Library Board in 2020;  is a print and online magazine, with the core belief that Nigeria is endowed with both human and material resources.
