Nigeria partners Chamber of Commerce on economy

The Nigerian government has urged the Lagos State Chamber of Commerce and industry to acknowledge researched ideas in the Ministry of Science and Technology which are ready for commercialization to create jobs and grow the Nigerian economy.

The Minister of Science and Technology, Mr Ogbonnaya Onu said this while receiving a delegation from the Lagos State Chamber of commerce and industry in Abuja.

He said that the Ministry would collaborate with the Chamber on its upcoming specialized exhibition aimed at promoting information and communication Technology.

Best interest

According to Mr Onu, “We in the Ministry of Science and Technology want to assure you that we are willing to corporate with you, to support you, to collaborate with you, provided that at the end it serves the best interest of the Nation.”

The Minister also applauded the Lagos State Chamber of Commerce and Industry for their contribution to the development of the nation’s economy.

“We want to use this opportunity to specially commend the Lagos State Chamber of Commerce for the contributions you have made to the economy development in the country, we also would want the Chamber to take note of so many research finding that we have in our seventeen various agencies that are ready for commercialization,” he added.

Meanwhile, the representative of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce, Mrs Tola Gbogboade briefed the Minister on the special exhibition titled Information Communication Technology and Telecommunication ICTEL expedition, asking for the Minister’s endorsement.
