Nigeria Partners with Azare Consulting to Advance Gaming Innovation
The Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science, and Technology, through the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP), has entered into a strategic partnership with Azare Consulting to drive innovation and regulatory compliance in Nigeria’s gaming industry.
The collaboration was formalised with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abuja.
The agreement marks a significant step towards strengthening the gaming sector by promoting technology transfer, enforcing regulations, and creating new opportunities for economic growth.

Key Objectives of the Partnership
The NOTAP-Azare Consulting agreement focuses on four main areas:
Regulatory Compliance & Enforcement – Ensuring that Nigeria’s gaming industry operates within a structured legal framework, reducing illicit activities and fostering fair competition.
Development of Industry Guidelines – Establishing clear operational standards to protect consumers and promote sustainable industry growth.
Revenue Generation & Market Expansion – Unlocking new revenue streams and positioning Nigeria as a major player in the global gaming market, attracting foreign investments.
Capacity Building & Innovation – Implementing training programmes to enhance industry expertise and drive technological advancements.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, NOTAP’s Director General, Dr Lady Obiageli Amadiobi, highlighted the importance of the partnership in modernising Nigeria’s gaming sector. She noted that aligning technology adoption with economic and regulatory goals would boost the industry’s growth and credibility.
Similarly, Azare Consulting’s representative, Saadatu Hamu, expressed optimism about the collaboration, stating that it would enhance transparency, introduce global best practices, and strengthen investor confidence in Nigeria’s gaming market.
The MoU signing represents a crucial step in leveraging science, technology, and innovation to create a structured and sustainable gaming industry, contributing to Nigeria’s broader economic development goals.
