The Nigeria Police says plans are underway to deploy officers to the North Eastern part of the country for security stabilisation, restoration of civil authority and re-establishment of the criminal justice Institutions and system.
The Inspector General of Police IGP Solomon Arase stated this at the second round table discussion with British High Commission representative in collaboration with the Force.
Mr Arase said shared vision of enhancing National regional and global security can be best strengthened by strategic engagements of this nature which brings critical actors from various areas of professional competence to evaluate and develop pathways build on international best practices and experiences from global crime
He said “massive human and material assets have been mobilised while engagements of strategic stakeholders, particularly the military and local communities are also being pursued with vigour. The task that lies ahead of the Force is to consolidate on what have so far stated”.
Also on the allocation of retirement housing, the IGP said the desire to own a home was paramount in the heart of every Police personnel and the urge to fulfil the natural necessity remains at the heart of corruption in the Force.
