Nigeria Police  rescues abducted victims in Niger State

The Nigerian  Police Command in Niger state North Central Nigeria,  has announced the released  of  the 28   abducted victims of Kagara market attack  by the abductors.

According to a statement by the Niger State Police command’s PRO DSP Wasiu Abiodun on Thursday ,the victims were  rescued unhurt.

Recall that 34 persons were earlier  abducted  by  suspected  bandits  in September  last year in  Kagara market of rafi local government area of Niger State.

” 6 of the victims had already   been rescued  in October  last year before the recent released  of the 28, “DSP abiodun said.

DSP abiodun  further said that ” Preliminary investigations revealed that the victims who were kept at Kango forest in  Dangulbi village, Maru local government area  of Zamfara State were released at Kamfani-Doka in Birnin-Gwari area of Kaduna State, as a result of the ongoing operational onslaught at neighbouring States of Zamfara and Kaduna”. 

He said  the rescued victims have been taken to a nearby medical facility for medical attention before they would be reunited with their families.

The  Nigerian Police further mentioned the arrest of  2 suspects for criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide in Chanchaga area in Minna the state capital  .
