Nigeria records 159 new cases of COVID-19 virus

Nigeria has recorded 159 new cases of COVID-19 across the country.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced this in its daily update on the virus.

In the agency’s latest update, the cases were reported in 14 states of the federation and it says: Today’s report includes: 8 confirmed cases reported from Delta state for October 25th (5) & 26th (3) 2021, 25 confirmed cases reported from Nasarawa state for October 24th 2021, 1 confirmed cases reported from state for October 24th 2021.”

FCT and Lagos state both take the lead on the list with 49 cases each, Nasarawa-25, Plateau-24, Kwara-22, Delta-8, Kano-8, Rivers-7, Edo-2, Bauchi-2, Bayelsa-2, Kaduna-1, Sokoto-1, Taraba-1.

With the latest report, 211,330 cases have been confirmed, 202,803 people discharged and 2,884 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
