The Nigerian Government has signed agreements with the Czech Republic to fund, enable research, development and innovation projects in Agriculture, Mining and General Manufacturing for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs)
Nigeria’s National Agency for Science & Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) made this known on its official X Handle on Monday, December 18, 2023.
This is the implementation of the Delta-2 Program, with award of funding to selected projects and signing of implementation agreements which includes the production license agreement for establishment of a coal fertilizer factory in Nigeria.
Also today, at #NASENIHQ, we’ve just signed a Production License Agreement with PT Saputra Global Harvest, for the establishment of a Coal-based Fertilizer factory in Nigeria.

In this first phase of the Delta-2 program, eleven projects have been selected for funding following application and selection process that started in 2022.
The Delta-2 Program is being overseen and implemented by the Presidential Implementation Committee on Technology Transfer/Information Exchange between Nigeria and the Czech Republic (PICTT).
The 11 projects to be funded in this Phase of Delta-2 all involve partnerships between Nigerian and Czech organisations
It feature projects ranging from bioethanol production to aeroponics farming, smart irrigation, waste conversion, and legal research software.
