To unlock Nigeria’s mineral wealth, the government is committed to promoting local value addition, reducing raw material exports, fostering domestic industries, and investing in capacity building and research. Strengthening regulatory frameworks will also ensure responsible and sustainable mining practices.
Stakeholders, including NMGS, are encouraged to collaborate with government agencies and leverage initiatives that support scientific research, technological advancement, and sectoral innovation.
“Once again, I urge the NMGS to collaborate with our agencies and take full advantage of government-backed initiatives that support scientific research, technological development, and sectoral innovation,” said the Minister.
With these strategic partnerships and innovative approaches, Nigeria’s mining industry is poised for a high-tech, efficient, and sustainable future.
