Nigeria, UN Launch Action Plan On Durable Solution

The United Nations and the Nigerian government have launched the Benue State Action Plan on Durable Solutions.

The launch of the State Action Plan on Durable Solutions is an affirmation of the collective commitment to supporting the resilient people of Benue, fostering sustainable solutions for IDPs, and promoting long-term development across the region.

Speaking at the launch, the UN Resident Coordinator, Mohamed Malick Fall, reaffirms the importance of collective action.

“This is not just about the launch of a plan; it is about a long-term vision for the future of Benue & Nigeria. It is about building a future where everyone, displaced or not, can thrive.
This is a powerful affirmation of the UN collective commitment to supporting the Benue state government and the resilient people of Benue in fostering sustainable solutions for IDPs and promoting long-term development across the region.”

The launch was done by the UN Resident Coordinator Mohamed Malick Fall and the Nigeria’s Minister of Humanitarian and Professors  Nentawe Yilwatda.

Both delegation  were received by the  Governor of Benue State Hyacinth Alia in Makurdi.
