Nigerian Afrobeats Star Ruger Drops Sophomore Album Blown Boy Ru

Nigerian singer and songwriter Michael Olayinka, best known as Ruger, has released his highly anticipated sophomore album, Blown Boy Ru. The album dropped on Friday, adding another milestone to his growing discography.

In 2024, Ruger collaborated with BNXN on a joint album titled RnB. Now, with Blown Boy Ru, the artist delivers a 13-track project blending dancehall and Afrobeat influences.

The album features notable collaborations with Zlatan, Kranium, Tiwa Savage, Valiant, and Haile, further enriching its diverse sound. Ahead of the full release, Ruger had already teased fans with two singles, Toma Toma and Jay Jay, building anticipation for the project.

With Blown Boy Ru, Ruger continues to solidify his place in the Nigerian music industry, showcasing his unique style and artistic growth.
