Nigerian Army Commends Retired Officers for Dedication, Service

The Commander, 35 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General Mohammed Aminu, has commended the retired and retiring officers of the 35 Artillery Brigade for their hard work, dedication and unwavering commitment to the Nigerian Army and the nation at large.

A statement by the Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations 35 Artillery Brigade, Lieutenant Mohammed Goni said he gave the commendation during a special dinner in honour of Retired/Retiring retired and retiring officers of the 35 Artillery Brigade at the Vulcans Officers’ Mess Alamala Barracks, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

Lieutenant Colonel Don Igwilo (retd), the former Brigade Acting Chief of Staff, retired 3 months ago after the successful completion of his 35 years of military career, and Captain Alexander Philemon, who will be proceeding on terminal leave to exit the service at the end of 14 years of meritorious service to the Nigerian Army.

Lieutenant Colonel Don Igwilo (retd) expressed appreciation on behalf of the beneficiaries to the Commander for deeming it fit to organize a befitting and well-organized dinner in their honour.

He advised especially the young officers to start planning for their retirement early enough so that they will have good post-retirement opportunities and healthy lives.
